]]>My choice to enroll in and complete the Hippocrates Online Program was an easy decision for me! Having attended the three-week Life Transformation Program in August 2018, which dramatically changed the way I lived and thought, I craved a deeper understanding of lifestyle medicine, raw living nutrition, and vibrant health. I wanted the knowledge that had helped me above all else to be reflected through me and shared with the world, gained from what I consider the ‘real’ school of health.
I had suffered from a chronic, debilitating disease for many years, searching around the globe for a cure and a way to achieve optimal health. I had been living captive to Seropositive Rheumatoid Arthritis, and life was no joke. Performing simple daily tasks was extremely difficult and painful. I needed help each day for personal care and support while looking after a newborn child. Conventional doctors prescribed numerous drugs to alleviate my excruciating symptoms and slow down the damage to my joints and organs. However, these often led to detrimental side effects, depression, and, in many cases, no improvement in the illness.
In 2016, my mother lost her life to pancreatic and bile duct cancer just 11 weeks after diagnosis. This was certainly a wake-up call for me to take full responsibility for my health and healing. I stopped looking for someone else to heal me and decided to do whatever was necessary to reach the level of health I desired. My next proposed treatment was six-monthly infusions of a chemotherapy-type drug designed to ‘kill off’ part of my immune system so it would be less aggressive in attacking itself. I knew this was merely another mask that didn’t address the root cause, so I began researching a better way, one where I would feel supported. I received help from an epidemiologist and a specialist in naturally reversing autoimmune diseases. He (along with divine guidance) pointed me to Hippocrates, and thus began this incredible journey!
Embarking on this course was, first and foremost, a gift to myself. Now, I seek to pass this gift on to as many people as possible, to those willing to hear my message and do whatever it takes to achieve incredible health and vitality. I am not the same person who first walked through the gates at Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach. The impact on my life has been so profound that I have burned my bridges to my old lifestyle and way of thinking. With knowledge comes power and responsibility.
Physically, I am more mobile and even look different to those who have always known me. So much is reflected in our countenance! I now lift weights, exercise regularly, and am the mother, wife, and person I need to be in this world.
Eating this way and ingesting high-enzymatic foods keeps my head uncluttered and gives me mental clarity. Serotonin, the ‘happy hormone,’ along with most other neurotransmitters, is produced in the gut. So, whatever I nourish myself with directly impacts my mood. Maintaining hormone balance through a raw living diet is key to greatly improving my emotional and spiritual state.
Family and friends have noticed a different Hazel now! I have become the go-to person for natural health solutions. I have taken what I learned through this course and, while I refrain from preaching to others, I live as an example.
My beliefs about food, nutrition, and what our bodies need to function optimally have changed significantly as a result of the knowledge I gained from this life-changing online course. Food is not just a source of fuel, energy, and comfort; high-nutrient food is essential for creating and maintaining vibrant health. We feed our bodies at a cellular level. For the trillions of cells in our bodies to function properly, we must take care of them and provide them with everything they need. This is a huge part of self-love. How much do I really care about myself if I’m not willing to give myself the best in every area of life?
As satisfying and enjoyable as food can be, I have had to shift my perspective from seeing it as merely a source of pleasure or recreation to viewing it as the primary fuel, power, and energy for my wonderfully created body. Phytonutrients, hormones, oxygen, and enzymes need to be present in abundance to provide the correct nourishment, healing, and protection for my body. Raw living foods are the best and purest forms of sustenance. If I put bad fuel in, how can I expect a good outcome? My body is adaptable and forgiving, but I cannot continue to abuse it and expect this not to manifest as disease and fatigue.
Living this way takes commitment, time, and cost, but the benefits far outweigh these things. Without my health, I cannot perform well on a daily basis. I believe investing in my health is the best expenditure possible. Living in a society driven by money, we often fail to see the long-term costs to our health when we don’t take preventive care. The price we pay later on can be far greater. What if I cannot work due to poor health and can’t take care of my family?
A typical day for me includes the following: Upon waking, I take a meditative sauna, detoxing mentally and physically. I have a far-infrared/ozone hydrotherapy spa. I drink herbal tea and lemon water to further detox and help the elimination process. A green juice follows, typically comprising alkaline vegetables like celery, cucumber, and leafy greens or sunflower sprouts. I often add garlic or ginger as these are great for inflammation and are antimicrobial. I generally have one or two meals per day. Because the food is so nutrient-rich, it satisfies me. Growing my own sprouts in the kitchen and greenhouse is fun and an important part of my life. Food is always there at hand, alive and fresh! I find raw dressings keep my diet fun, tasty, and interesting. Algae and seaweed also play a great role in my diet. My family chuckles at my seashore foraging and large batches of dulse and kelp dehydrating regularly in my kitchen.
Exercise has now become a huge ‘nutrient’ in my lifestyle. The benefits of exercise are multi-dimensional. Having been athletic as a child, it was incredibly challenging to lose my mobility after being hit by rheumatoid arthritis. Through the new lifestyle I had chosen, combined with belief in healing, determination, and hard work, I regained the ability to exercise. The freedom, mental stamina, and emotional release it brings are immense. Exercise and training are essential to my daily life, and I must incorporate them into my routine to feel sane, fulfilled, and satisfied. Building muscle has been amazing in helping me take pressure off my joints, allowing me to perform tasks like housework that were once impossible.
When people see me out in the street going about my daily life, they tell me they struggle to believe I was once so crippled and housebound. I attribute much of this to the daily practices I’ve adopted that contribute to my agility and vibrancy! I had bilateral knee replacements last year due to previous damage and was able to run a mile just five months following this major surgery. The surgeon was astounded, saying he had never seen this kind of recovery in any of his patients. He told me that whatever I was doing was amazing and an inspiration. Those words meant a lot to me. My daily efforts to heal and strengthen myself do pay off. On days when I feel like giving up, this way of life and the guidance I’ve received are there for me. It has become part of me, who I am, and how I shine.
I remember being told, “Don’t preach to others, but be the example.” This is my mission. Personally, this way of life directly impacts me and my immediate family. The benefits are immeasurable—less pain, more mobility, and greater confidence, to name a few. If I neglect my health, it negatively affects my husband and children. I can’t help them physically, prepare their meals, or wash their clothes. When in pain, I experience low mood and irritability. My tolerance for others and situations is greatly reduced. I believe my children are very aware when their mum is on track or, conversely, when I’ve neglected my recovery!
Being made acutely aware of the impacts of the Western diet and lifestyle on our planet has motivated me to reduce all chemical usage in my home and use organic, biodegradable, and vegan products wherever possible. Learning the alarming statistics during this course has deeply affected me, and I feel this issue cannot be ignored. I have made changes in my life and continue to educate others, planting seeds of knowledge wherever I go.
Using essential oils and homemade plant-based cleaning solutions has been one of the most beautiful things I am grateful for. Everything we need is provided by nature, and we should utilize the benefits of these plants, reducing and eliminating toxins from our homes.
Cutting out meat and dairy reduces demand for these products and encourages creativity with other delicious protein sources that I once would have overlooked. Lentils, beans, and chickpeas, for example, can be substituted in most recipes, and this does no harm to creatures or the planet. The shocking quantities of land and water required to raise livestock could be far better utilized for agriculture. Buying organic cotton clothing, or even second-hand, helps support the planet. Learning about GMO cotton growing was a big shock to me and something I had never considered before taking this course. The harmful effects on the soil, the farmers, and eventually the consumer and wearer are devastating. I now make informed choices and take responsibility for nurturing and replenishing this beautiful earth, as we are all custodians and caretakers of it. The earth was created in perfect balance and harmony, and human greed has disrupted its natural rhythms and depleted its resources.
This course has taught me so much! There is the diet, the growing, the lifestyle, but perhaps most importantly, the deeper spiritual aspect that must be addressed when changing one’s life. Integrity has become a focal point for me. My communication and honesty with myself and others are now of utmost importance. If I know the truth about life, health, and their significance, I need to live by these principles, share them with those in my immediate influence, and align my actions with my beliefs. If I choose dishonesty, I am cheating myself in any area of life. On the other hand, by loving and valuing myself, I am able to love and respect others. Connection and community start with me.
There are many aspects of life and healing, but if I had to choose one as the most transformative, it would be changing my diet to a fully raw and living plant-based one. I need to invest physically in my body and nourish it at a cellular level. This is key and should be the number one priority. When I give my body the proper fuel, I have a foundation upon which to build emotional and spiritual healing, all of which are deeply interconnected: body, mind, and soul.
Daily exercise and movement are non-negotiable for me. I engage in at least two scheduled sessions of quality workouts each day. I vary these throughout the week to keep things fun and interesting and to avoid monotony. Swimming, rebounding, walking, and resistance training are my favorites, and I’ve recently taken advantage of the warmer weather to pursue wild swimming. I am building strength and stamina and have set goals to continue advancing in all these areas. Hiring a personal trainer has been a valuable investment. Working on tailored programs with someone who understands my body is important to me. My children keep me mobile, and wherever possible, I join them in games and sports!
I am very excited about becoming a mentor for the Hippocrates lifestyle. I feel passionate about returning the knowledge I have gained and helping others find their path to becoming their best selves. The vast majority of people do not know where to turn amidst a sea of conflicting information from the mainstream education system and what is portrayed as ‘healthy’ online. What should they believe, and whom should they trust? I will be there to guide, support, and help them navigate their health challenges and goals. Working with people who are ready to take stock of their lives is incredibly fulfilling, and I already have several potential clients lined up to work with me. This alone is proof that there is a beacon of hope, and others are finding the truth. I am honored to be an instrument that helps others reach their goals. I have a network of natural practitioners with whom I will collaborate, complementing my services. By doing my part to spread and share this superior and fulfilling way of living, I hope that those I help will, in turn, pass this knowledge on to others. These rays of light and hope will spread wider and farther, and parents can teach their children what is truly healthy, nourishing, and important. I envision these offspring passing down this ‘gold’ to future generations. I feel so privileged to be part of this great movement, and I believe this is my work for humanity and our planet.
Knowledge is power, and wisdom is a gift. Let us make this world a better place, starting with ourselves.

]]>I started the program four years ago. It took me a long time to finish it, but it was a busy and rewarding time, full of amazing experiences. During this time I truly lived my inner version of the Hippocrates lifestyle, I learned, processed, shared with others and created an amazing job opportunity, all in connection with this program. This time was full of insights, intensity, and inner growth.
Six years ago I started suffering from an undiagnosed digestive problem that resulted in severe abdominal pain and most likely also caused erosive gastritis in the stomach and duodenitis. Just a few weeks ago the doctors were eventually able to detect an obstruction in the extra hepatic biliary duct. For these six years I have been continuously struggling with severe pains, persistent itching, occasional nausea, and couldn’t tolerate any supplements, synthetic or natural. Being a persistent person, as I am, I searched for every possible way to cure and relieve the symptoms. I tried an allopathic approach for a very short spell, Naturopathy, Ayurveda and Chinese medicine, only to discover that everything I had tried was making me feel much worse. I was already extremely conscious of a need for a healthy food, and lifestyle regime. My mom passed away when I was 21 due to stomach cancer, and I was struggling myself for many years with depression, anorexia and bulimia. Soon I discovered that only a very natural plant based, organic, mainly raw food diet was relieving my emotional symptoms and helped control bulimic attacks.
Sadly, due to a stomach erosion and hepatic obstruction, I have lost capacity to eat raw fibers, and I could only drink some fresh, vegetable juices, but even this was causing pain. I started losing all vitality; feeling fatigued all the time, sleeping long hours and struggling with my demanding job.
I kept persistently searching for ways to diagnose and cure my condition, but with more acceptance and serenity. I gave myself up to pain and discomfort. That was when I heard the name of Hippocrates Institute cropping up in several American podcasts about natural healing approaches.
I knew that raw food was giving me more vitality so healing with the raw food approach really appealed to me. I tapped into The Hippocrates Short Start Course and bought some sprouting jars. I had no idea how to start eating fibers again without pain, so I decided I will be only juicing and eating 100 percent sprout salads. I cooked the mature plants to soften the tougher fibers.
The effect was outstanding. The salads based only on sprouts were causing no pain and brought an immediate surge of vitality. Life was less of a struggle, I could sleep less, and do more, start doing some sport, and look after my family without exhaustion.
Highly encouraged, I enrolled in The Hippocrates Lifestyle Course in 2019.
Many things have happened in my life since then and a lot of it has been influenced by this amazing, exciting and fulfilling course. From a perspective of a few last years it has been more like a journey, that has brought me to completely undiscovered realms, giving me knowledge and insights, and bodily experiences, that have affected my emotional and spiritual life.
At first the Hippocrates Program gave me hope. The hope that comes with the feeling that something worked for me, that my body accepted something with no pain, hope that I could have energy again, recover my life force.
On a mental level, the knowledge that there is a lifestyle that can rebalance our health without any special medication or heavy supplementation, just with the power of nature, lowered substantially my levels of fear. Since I was very young I had a fear of dying of cancer. My Mom was diagnosed with the stomach cancer when I was 19 and died within two years after a horrible ordeal of chemotherapy, surgeries and pain. Ever since then I struggled with this fear and I dedicated a substantial part of my life to discovering cancer healing natural protocols. As valuable as they were, they were relying heavily on very specific, expensive and abundant supplementation. With my stomach damage and hepatic obstruction being severe in the last few years I could not take any natural supplements.
That raised the levels of fear of cancer and left me with the feeling of lack of protection and vulnerability.
When I started sprouting, eating spirulina, and sea vegetables I started to feel so good, so much stronger, and the knowledge that I can feel like this without all these fancy supplements and maybe prevent cancer and other diseases made me feel so ecstatic and independent.
On a physical level I had experienced numerous health benefits: my energy levels rose so I could exercise, and that in turn improved my energy even more. I felt much less pain, and I could start eating things that were prohibitive for me before and enrich my diet. After a few years some damage in my digestive tract started repairing itself: the erosion in the stomach was repaired, however I am still suffering from metaplasia of the stomach lining, the general inflammation of the digestive tract diminished. During the time I suffered most from the digestive pain, my periods become less abundant, with the very black blood, and I was often irritable. After I started with the Hippocrates lifestyle my periods become more abundant, with red, clear blood, I didn’t feel so much of the PMS. As a result of all of it, my husband and I decided to try for a baby together (we have raised 3 children together, but we really wanted to have one who would be of both of us. We abandoned the idea because of my health problems and my age they were beginning to be advanced). After my health improved, we went for it and within four months I got pregnant naturally and successfully. I had a healthy baby daughter at the age of 46 and I have been already breastfeeding her for 19 months and planning on carrying on until she is 2.
As a result of the Hippocrates course, my husband and I became vegans as, is our baby. My older teenage son stopped eating meat and my teenage daughter diminished the amount of animal products and started paying more attention to her diet.
On an emotional level I notice that my emotional patterns have shifted steadily and gradually from feeling a sacrificing and resentful victim, discouraged and unsteady, to completely different levels where the courage, love, satisfaction, patience, acceptance, persistence, calm and bliss are consistently present. I love this new Ania and feel much more comfortable with this more effortless emotional functioning.
There were a lot of inspiring lectures on the course. They affected me on many levels. Being on the course helped me confront a profound loss that happened just a few months ago. We lost our oldest child, the 19-year-old biological son of my husband, who lived with us almost all of his childhood. The loss was sudden and happened as a result of an accident, when our youngest daughter was only 1. The violence of what had happened affected us profoundly on all levels: we all felt sick numerous times, went through despair, panic attacks, intense fear and sense of unimaginable loss within just a few first weeks of the accident. Because of the shock my milk production diminished and this and our ongoing sadness affected our baby. In this trying moment the Hippocrates lifestyle was a Godsend. As soon as we were able to stand on our feet and sprout again and drink some green juices, we felt like we were standing on a solid base that was carrying us through this crisis. We started looking for spiritual help and it was coming through the love and care of our friends looking after us, books and knowledge about the travel of the soul, and people who shared their experiences about the death of their beloved. I am very positive that the Hippocrates lifestyle gave us physical and emotional strength and enough of a calm of mind to get us through the initial moments of loss.
My whole family, have been impacted by the course, and I think, mainly positively. My husband followed my path and now eats vegan, sprouts and drinks green juices every day. He controls his psoriasis problem with the diet, although he didn’t succeed to rid himself of it entirely. He lost almost 20 kg of weight and looks really great. My baby girls eats vegan too and loves sprouts. She looks really healthy and has fallen sick only once since she was born. My two teenage children have became really mindful of their diet, especially my son, who became a vegetarian and cured his severe acne with the combination of diet and conventional and Ayurvedic treatment.
Two years ago we started a business: we sell the organic, seeds for sprouting which are of excellent quality and a fantastic price, so that everybody can become independent in their home and sprout for a few pennies. Our company is called Germinamore and it is most likely the only company in Spain that sells seeds for sprouting to the particular clients for a fair price that allows them to eat sprouts in abundance. We run training workshops and show people how to go about the sprouting in practice. My teenagers got involved in the parallel activity and started producing microgreens for local clients and they are earning extra pocket money. As you see, the Hippocrates Lifestyle influenced our family on many levels.
I had some strong beliefs about food that have shifted as I followed the lifestyle. The strongest change by far was the one about eating fish and Omega 3, and another one, that it is easier to absorb are the proteins of animal origin. I, myself wasn’t an enormous animal product eater, but still would eat some fish once or twice a week. During my menstruation I had some enormous cravings for meat too. I was subconsciously encouraging the animal products intake in my children, because I felt insecure and not sure if I could meet their nutritional needs without them, especially in terms of protein. The lectures on the course shifted all these beliefs and I felt more secure in changing the diet of my whole family. I found it quite liberating. Especially, since I started eating sprouts my cravings for meat have disappeared, so it is much easier for me to follow my beliefs and stop eating meat altogether.
I think financially this lifestyle is not inexpensive, at least here in Southern Spain. We eat almost 100% ecological and it doubles the cost of food even though we purchase a lot of fruits and vegetables from local market and growers. Especially with the teenagers, looking for nutritious options, but at the same time the ones that agree with their taste buds, are sometimes extremely costly and challenging. As long as we have means to do it, we will remain committed to making the best choices possible.
I was extremely motivated to get onto a Hippocrates program and it was frankly quite easy taking into account my situation: at that time I could hardly eat anything, so the fact that the sprouts were so easy for me to digest was a fantastic starter. We lived in a small flat in France at that time, and in my tiny kitchen I managed to sprout almost anything. I had three medium size sprouting jars and the small set of 7 drawers (that I recovered from the rubbish bin; ha-ha!) where I grew hydroponically wheatgrass and peas shoots. I worked hard as a teacher at that time, so I would wake up every day at 6 am to prepare my fresh salad for lunch.
In the morning I would have only a flask of warm herb tea and I would fast till midday. I would have my salad with sprouts, sea vegetables and spirulina at school, together with some avocados or nuts.
I would have my wheatgrass and my green juice at home around 5 pm. I would then share a cooked meal with my family in the evening. I would have some soaked and cooked legumes, gluten free grains and vegetables.
As soon as I gained more strength I would go for walks every day after work, jump on the trampoline for 15 min, do some bike, followed by stretching exercises.
My main success was regaining vitality, diminishing pain, healing erosive gastritis, increasing my fertility and general health. On a mental and emotional level, I felt diminished fear and anxiety levels, gained more focus and persistence, and that ultimately led to my final diagnosis (that was extremely hard to receive): the extra hepatic duct congestion. These objectives I didn’t achieve: couldn’t clear my biliary tract with the natural methods, and I am still suffering from the metaplasia in my stomach and it’s symptoms on daily basis.
I find that it is very challenging to take full responsibility for one’s health in a system that doesn’t favor this attitude. Even though, all of us, the whole society, suffer enormously tragic and painful consequences of bad lifestyle habits, and at the same time, we are being highly discouraged from taking a real responsibility for our life. Even our closest family and friends tend to discourage us from getting healthier. It is illogical but real, that the system prefers to sustain people with poor health, which is costly in every way, rather than educate them into being independent on the health path. I was very lucky, because from the beginning I had the unconditional support of my husband and that for me was a game changer.
One of the most amazing impacts the course had on me was realizing our, culturally maintained, superficial and insincere relationship with the food and what follows, with nature and the entire planet. I was deeply impacted by the lectures and the book by Dr.Tuttle and the realization that through the way we eat we manifest our attitude towards all the living beings and the planet itself. I have never thought of it this way and so it entirely changed my life and my relationship with the world. Now my way of eating is more conscious and full of gratitude towards all these beings which bodies nurture us (plants, seeds, fruits, sunshine, etc.) I decided to eat vegan, as much as it is possible, in a world that is not made easy for vegans. I treat it as taking responsibility for my health, the health of my close community and the health of our planet.
I try to be as honest with myself and others about my lifestyle and beliefs as only I can. I believe that my biggest contribution to the world is giving and receiving unconditional love. I try to live daily according to Gandhi’s words: “Be the change you want to see in the world”. Showing generous, loving attitude towards my children, husband, friends, family, animals, plants and strangers in the streets, being mindful and kind, inclusive and cooperative, allow myself mistakes and bad days, love and understand myself and the rest of the world. Hippocrates Lifestyle brings a lot of love into my life through eating vibrationaly high food, being around and caring for little live beings every day and sharing this marvelous knowledge with our community.
I think feeling and sharing love and peace are the practices that make the biggest difference to live my best life. Part of giving and sharing this love and peace is eating plant based food, full of sprouts, blue green algae, and sea vegetables. Our house is always open to those who want to share our midday salad with us, which is full of nutrients. I have observed that my compassion has extended and deepened greatly towards a lot more living beings: the animals around me and people in difficulties. The communication with my children has become much more sincere and meaningful thanks to this compassion.
I always loved movement and considered it extremely important for my body. I dance, go for long walks, jump on a trampoline and do chi kung and basic yoga stretching exercises. The last few months however, since our oldest child passed away, it has become extremely challenging to maintain my usual movement routine. The fact that I am 47 and still breastfeeding, the shock of the sudden death of our beloved child, sustaining grief and sorrow of my husband and the rest of our three children, was extremely overwhelming and the feeling of physical and emotional exhaustion is very significant. I prioritized sleep and rest whenever it was possible and the exercise I found was very hard to achieve. My husband supports me with drinking plenty of green juices every day and my son took over sprouting for us and the clients, so every day we eat our fresh, fantastic sprouts, and hopefully soon I will be able to exercise some more.
I am really looking forward to finishing the course. I have been already mentoring informally for quite a long time. People around are so sick and have so many problems, so it felt only right to share what I have learned and help out whenever someone shows an interest and opened up.
Closing the chapter on online training will probably give way to more formal mentoring, more sprouting courses and our Germinamore company development. I and my husband have so many projects that are not yet realized but already present in our imagination: more Hippocrates type centers in Europe, chains of vegan sprouts diners, reaching out to natural health clinics and propose them our sprouting courses and so on.
We await the future and live the present with joy and fascination, wondering what is awaiting us around the corner. We welcome with acceptance all what is coming. As my late son, Noe used to say: “Accept what you cannot change”. The Hippocrates Lifestyle gave me strength to change things I can change and Noe showed me to accept the things I cannot change. Thank you for everything.

]]>Social connections are as important as eating a nutritious diet, quantity and quality of sleep, or gaining the benefits from daily exercise workouts. Meaningful, purposeful relationships are immensely powerful, if the right people, they fuel us and help us to reach our potential, and can provide us with emotional resilience and connection. This is why becoming a credentialed professional coach is such a good choice for your own mental and emotional health and well-being.
The Science of Social Connection
The history of human evolution has proven that we have survived and thrived through connection and community support. This is not debatable. The impact of social connections on health has been widely documented in scientific journals.
The longest-running study on happiness, the 80+ year Harvard study on adult development shows very clearly that a loving partner, and close connected relationships with family and friends and community is the key to our happiness and also our longevity.
Significant studies show that a lack of social connections causes stress and health problems including obesity, smoking, high blood pressure and early death. Our connectedness with others is a key component for our mental and emotional health, and resilience.
One study conducted by Emma Seppala, a Stanford University professor, points out that strong connections make us healthier, and happier, and actually increase our longevity of life. Furthermore, it showed good social connections can improve your immune system, and reduce anxiety and depression. The study also showed that social isolation is a major risk factor for early death. It showed clearly an increased risk of mortality among people with a low quantity and quality of social relationships. How much time are you spending on a computer daily? This is isolation if you are alone.
Limbic Resonance
Limbic resonance is referred to as a phenomenon that occurs when two or more people share an emotional connection with each other. The experience and sense of mutual understanding and connectedness has a direct, positive impact on the limbic system of the brain, and I believe, the human heart too.
Dr. Thomas Lewis, a psychiatrist and author of the book ‘A General Theory of Love,’ writes that limbic resonance is ‘a symphony of mutual and internal adaptation’ whereby mammals become attuned to each other’s inner states and experience communal connection. Limbic resonance occurs when two or more people engage in positive social interactions. It may include an intimate or productive conversation, sharing laughter, enjoying a joke, or having conversations with work colleagues that you feel aligned with. The limbic systems of the individuals become synchronized leading to mutual emotional resonance.
Community – Your Healing & Resilient Building Force at this Time
The world has changed to become incredibly fast-paced with computer work being needed by all professionals, but we cannot get away from or ignore our biological needs. Hours and hours on a computer working without interactions in the physical reality with face-to-face, eye-to-eye connection CANNOT regulate you – you are in isolation (video calls are NOT enough). Again, this is why becoming a credentialed professional coach is such a good choice for your own mental and emotional health and well-being.
Numerous case studies have now illustrated that it is hard to recover from trauma, addictions, or depression alone. The heaviness of the difficulty or suffering is amplified and becomes immense, and often overwhelming regardless of how strong-willed an individual is. The symptoms of specific mental health disorders, like depression, become worse when people withdraw, isolate, or try to deal with the symptoms alone. However, if people build a community of like-minded and goal aligned individuals that provide value and security to their life, and not additional stress, they take the road to building a great life and experience connection, enjoyment, emotional resilience and success.
In the book, ‘Love and Survival: The Scientific Basis for the Healing Power of Intimacy’, the author Dean Ornish explains the healing power of love and connection. According to Dr Ornish who is one of the world’s leading physicians promoting lifestyle medicine, he is not aware of any other factor in medicine — not diet, not smoking, not exercise, not stress, not genetics, not drugs, not surgery — that has a greater impact on our quality of life or incidence of illness than human connection. He studied people suffering from heart disease and found out that human connection improves health in all situations. He says, “Anything that promotes a sense of isolation often leads to illness and suffering, while that which promotes a sense of love and intimacy, connection and community, is healing.”

]]>The post Science-Based Health Benefits of a Raw Vegan Diet appeared first on Hippocrates Wellness.
]]>Due in no small part to the “food as medicine” philosophy of Hippocrates receiving more scientific validation and real-world applicability, interest in vegan diets has surged globally in the past decade.
Evidence of veganism on the rise is easily observable from in our local supermarkets where there are often whole aisles dedicated to vegan food. The world’s top athletes are living proof of the potential of veganism! Among them are: Lewis Hamilton, Venus Williams, Novak Djokovic, to name just a few.
As an elite personal trainer London located in London, I will offer my first-hand knowledge of how eating a colorful, diverse, vibrant, and fresh raw vegan diet can optimize your physical performance, alter your mind and body, and contribute to environmental preservation.
What about vegan cuisine that is raw though? That being vegan food that is obviously undercooked and free of all animal products?
Did you know that research shows that the concept of the raw vegan diets dates back to the Pythagorean era of the ancient world? (1)
Research shows that the raw vegan diet comprises the very basic veganism rules of including everything plant-based, without anything from animal sources, and in addition to it, without cooking or subjecting it to heat above 118° F. (2)
Scientific evidence points to very important raw vegan diet benefits that arise as the food retains its nutrition as you do not cook it or denature it with heat. (3)
However, this is not the new kid on the block.
In 1956 Viktoras Kulvinskas and Ann Wigmore founded the Hippocrates Health Institute (HHI) and created a unique nutrition philosophy setting up a forward-thinking strong foundation of a healthy nutrition alternative.
They created a very clear and structured way of eating known also as the Hippocrates diet and the scientific foundation for a fresh, plenty, varied and colorful raw vegan nutrition was born.
Some of the things advocated by Ann Wigmore a cancer survivor were fermented foods and consuming more fiber.
Eating plant based good quality fats including omega-3, only or as much as possible organic fresh and colorful whole foods and favoring many varied greens, sprouts, were other principles they’ve introduced.
Also…
Consuming with each main meal about 25g of protein coming from plant sources, limit and avoid intakes of heavily processed foods (SAD), practice exercise like Yoga and use meditation to connect better with yourself etc.
At the time some of these were dismissed as a fad. However, time is the best judge, so what does the science say about HHI pioneering principles? The scientific list of raw vegan lifestyle validation is very long whilst the space I have here is short.
However, here are just two examples of things that have validated the Hippocrates lifestyle that Viktoras Kulvinskas and Ann Wigmore created:
Also did you know that macrobiota has been officially added on the list as an anti-ageing mechanism?
Nutrition science shows with certainty that there is a direct correlation between your good bacteria in the gut, less inflammation and better telomers length.
Research shows that eating fresh and colorful whole foods to a large extent will protect your mitochondria health. In addition to all these benefits Mitochondria has become an official anti-ageing hallmark. Research shows that a healthy mitochondria could means a healthier and better quality of your lifespan.
Hippocrates Health Institute (HHI) and renowned Brian Clement have spent decades meticulously honing and transforming optimum health nutrition for human health and they do this by using body transformation programs.
Therefore, in this article, I will share evidence-based research and benefits of the raw vegan diet lifestyle.
According to research, eating a raw vegan diet promotes lifespan, clear, healthy skin, weight loss, improved digestive health, and natural detoxification. (4) This concept has gone on to become widely acknowledged in my different food cultures.
Food that is consumed raw maintains its natural nutritional value. Vegan cuisine is rich in many vital vitamins and minerals. Research publications have publicly shown athletes who followed a raw vegan diet and finished the hardest Ironman challenge. (5) Microgreens including spinach, kale, broccoli, radish, green peas, and amaranth are high in polyphenols, L-ascorbic acid, carotenoids, chlorophylls, amino acids, organic acid, and pectin, in addition to iron and calcium (6). Sprouts are powerhouses of primary and secondary metabolites that flood them during the sprouting process. They are so easy to digest that you may have them in their raw and most nutritious form. Adding Quinoa, Soyabean or buckwheat sprouts enriched with vitamins B1, B6, and C to your daily intake add variety to a raw vegan diet. (6-8)

Research shows that one of the many veganism benefits is the potential for weight loss; raw vegan food choices promote a psychosocial relationship with food. (9) It isn’t merely weight loss but a complete body transformation that gives you the necessary confidence and energy to carry out your routine activities. Eating raw vegan food can assist you in navigating this process. Making wise dietary selections and utilizing this nutritional pattern to its fullest will help you achieve physical transformation. You might follow this evidence based advice and adopt a vegan diet to successfully lose weight: (10)
Exercise and a raw vegan diet both increase your gut metabolism, which enables you to finally achieve the complete body transformation you’ve been dreaming of. It also helps you shape your body in a healthy way. Vegan diet and weight loss thus go hand in hand.
Some of the many vegan diet health benefits may help with overcoming menstrual problems. While Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) affects millions of females worldwide, a simple change in food choice may alleviate some PCOS symptoms. Research shows that PCOS is associated with abnormal glucose metabolism, weight gain, disrupted menstrual cycles, and infertility (11). The PCOS Vegan Diet Meal Plan helps you focus on organic produce, colorful and fresh raw vegan foods and research shows that plant based nutrition was studied even as a physician guide. (10)
What to include?
Is a vegan diet good for PCOS? Research shows that a carefully crafted PCOS vegan diet meal plan helps in improving your metabolism, keeps inflammatory markers at bay, and reduces your BMI. (12)
Globally, type-2 diabetes is already reaching pandemic proportions. While medications can be helpful, diet is more crucial because certain foods will convert to other sugars like fructose and glucose. According to research, the best method to maintain normal blood glucose levels and prevent nutritional shortages is to customize your diet plan to account for the decreased glucose metabolism associated with type-2 diabetes (13). Since each person’s level of impaired glucose metabolism is unique, a customized diet plan will be the most effective for you.
Another of the vegan diet benefits is its potential to help improve glycemic control. Request that your nutritionist create a vegan diet plan specifically for you, taking into account your weight, blood sugar levels, and other medical issues. You can select which foods to eat and which to avoid, as listed below:
While you embark on the raw vegan diet journey with type-2 diabetes, take care not to become hypoglycemic. (14) At Hippocrates Health Institute, you will learn about the life-transforming journeys of people who learned how to do this and now thrive using the raw vegan diet lifestyle.
Inflammatory conditions such as arthritis are associated with severe pain. There has been strong research-based evidence that shows the raw vegan diet benefits for people who suffer from arthritis: your food choices can reduce the inflammatory markers that cause discomfort. Studies reveal that eating a vegan diet helps arthritis sufferers feel less pain (16, 15). The following could be a few of the underlying causes (17):
There are many different kinds and forms of cancer, and millions of people worldwide are currently impacted by it. Studies have shown that nutrition plays a significant role in approximately 30% of cancer incidences worldwide, even though genetic predisposition and unfavorable environmental factors also play a role. Therefore, research shows that changing your diet and consuming vegan cuisine may lower your chance of developing several types of cancer (19). Studies indicate that a vegan diet’s high fiber content, antioxidants, and beneficial phytoconstituents may help reduce the incidence of cancer (20).
In the US, breast cancer ranks second in terms of both death and prevalence. Research indicates that adopting a vegan diet lowers the risk of breast cancer. According to one such study, women who followed a vegan diet had lower Body Mass Indexes (BMIs) because they avoided animal-derived saturated fat. This inflammatory form of fat increases your chance of becoming obese by activating TLR4 signaling in the hypothalamus. Studies indicate that they gain advantages from consuming a high-fiber diet consisting of whole grains and raw vegetables (21). High-protein, vitamin-rich plant-based foods were found to have a decreased incidence of breast cancer than other diet-following women (21).
Did you know that prostate cancer is the third leading cause of death in men? Certain dietary interventional studies that have demonstrated a negative correlation between a vegan diet and prostate cancer (22) clearly highlight the raw vegan diet benefits. In a similar vein, when raw and processed tomatoes were contrasted in a different study, those who followed a raw vegan diet and ate tomatoes had a lower risk of prostate cancer. (23) Therefore, ultimately, it has been demonstrated by science that vegan nutrition benefits may mitigate some of the risks associated with prostate cancer.
Are you aware that the number of adults with raised blood pressure is rapidly increasing? In the last four decades, heart diseases have become a worldwide trend. (24) A study has recommended a plant-based diet as a healthy and environmentally sustainable eating pattern that would help lower the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. (25)
Research indicates that a raw vegan diet that is abundant in fiber, folic acid, vitamin C and E, potassium, magnesium, and several phytochemicals and also important since it has a healthy fat profile that is devoid of inflammatory saturated fat.
As a result, it possesses greater anti-inflammatory qualities that could aid in lowering the high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, which is considered a cardiovascular disease risk factor. (26) Thus, research shows that in comparison to other vegan diets, raw vegan diets typically have higher dietary fiber content and lower cholesterol and saturated fat content (27). As a result, those who choose a raw vegan diet typically tend to be thinner, have reduced blood pressure, serum cholesterol, and body weight, all of which lower the risk of heart disease (27).
Have you come across slogans saying that your gut is the foundation of your health?
Well, our gut is often called the body’s “second brain”. What do you need to eat in order to ensure good gut health?
It is a proven truth that gut health is ensured by the ratio of beneficial to dangerous bacteria (28). Research shows that the formation of more stable and diversified microbial communities is aided by a vegan diet (29). A diet high in fermentable dietary fibers, also known as prebiotics, has been shown in several trials to lower body weight gain, the formation of fat mass, decreases insulin resistance, and energy consumption (28). Studies indicate that fermented soy products, or “nut vegan cheeses,” prepared from macadamias, almonds, or other nuts, enhance food’s flavor and texture while also improving its nutritional value in terms of a desirable unsaturated-to-saturated fatty acid ratio (30).
Diet plays a major role in skin health too! Studies have demonstrated that a well-balanced and conscientiously planned vegan diet can adequately provide the required amounts of proteins, vitamins, and minerals to support skin health. (31) Leading international nutrition organizations have concluded that a well-planned and balanced plant-based diet is rich in anti-inflammatory ingredients that protect against inflammatory skin disorders like acne, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis (32). Research shows that a raw vegan diet maximizes the antioxidant potential within our cells by providing essential vitamins, including vitamins A, C, and E. (33) It also fights against harmful carcinogens and toxins within our blood. These ingredients further help to lengthen telomeres, which prevents cellular damage and can contribute to preventing and reversing the aging of the skin. (33)
Diet plays an important role not only in physical health but also in cognitive and mental health (34). Dietary intake of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) has a significant positive role in brain function. According to a research study, a vegetarian diet customized to include a higher intake of total polyunsaturated fat and negligible arachidonic acid intake may contribute to a favorable mood profile. (35) Also, a randomized controlled clinical trial has revealed a decrease in stress, anxiety, and improved mood in vegan diet followers. (36)

What do Novak Djokovic, Lewis Hamilton, Venus Williams, and Mike Tyson have in common?
They’re all vegans and elite athletes!
Applications of veganism in nutrition are carefully employed in the sports and health and fitness sectors. Based on scientific research, a vegan diet that is well-balanced and rich in nutrients can be tailored to meet the dietary requirements of most athletes (37). An athlete’s performance and well-being can be supported with a tailored vegan diet plan that offers enough energy and the necessary intakes of protein, fat, and carbohydrates (38). A vegan diet boosted strength and endurance in this brief interventional research of cross-fit athletes with a moderate level of training (39). Eating a vegan diet rich in complex carbs, such as those found in grains and legumes, promotes efficient glycogen storage. Research indicates that a vegan diet may be anticipated to enhance vascular flow and tissue oxygenation by lowering blood viscosity and enhancing arterial flexibility and endothelial function.
Raw vegan diets have been shown in studies to offer protection against a number of chronic illnesses, including diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, and several malignancies, including prostate and colorectal cancer. This may result from consuming less saturated fat and more dietary fiber, polyunsaturated fats, vitamins, and various phytobioactives. Since they are all anti-inflammatory, these nutrients aid in lowering inflammation levels in our bodies. Additionally, people who follow a raw vegan diet typically report being more physically active, being less sedentary, and drinking less alcohol—all of which point to a healthy way of living.
Just to summarize for you: If you want to improve your performance, health or recover faster after an accident or a sports injury, all you need is a correct nutrition and health assessment, a laser-sharp personalized nutritionist and bespoke exercise rehab for the best outcome.

]]>The post My Journey – Lynn Parry-Jones | Online Program appeared first on Hippocrates Wellness.
]]>Hi I’m Lynn Parry-Jones and I am in my 60th year (note I didn’t say 60 years OLD). I have been in the natural health and fitness industry for nearly 30 years. I am a Personal Fitness Trainer, Diet & Nutrition Advisor and Aromatherapy/Swedish massage therapist. I have been a vegetarian since 1992 and since studying with HW I have become a vegan. In 2019 I qualified in Raw Chef Mastery. I followed a path of continued education that taught the standard food pyramid at college and University but did not continue with either course as the teachings did not run alongside my ‘truths’. Many of the lecturers were not exactly pictures of health so I knew this approach was not working and there must be something else out there.
In 2005 I had a complete nervous breakdown following the loss of two loved ones. This resulted in reactive depression and anxiety. I asked to be hospitalised thinking that this would make me better. I was prescribed many different drugs which failed to work and I was sectioned as I was suicidal. Whilst in and out of hospital for 18 months, I read and read and had many private blood tests with Genova and discovered that my adrenals were completely flat lined. This was why the drugs made my anxiety worse; they just coursed through my bloodstream and were not being delivered into my cells. My thyroid was obviously thrown out of balance and I dropped to around 6.5 stone as I became Hyperthyroid. I also refused a treatment to nuke my thyroid with radioactive iodine. Following a prescription of Lithium I become Hypothyroid and my weight climbed to 13.5 stone. The Doctors threw the drug book at me and not once did they look at other areas of my body for the answer. Nothing examined below the neck. They were against my health quest and labelled me as mental hypochondriac who was obsessed with her health. Thank God I had the foresight and the knowledge to seek out an Endocrinologist who agreed to treat me with Hydrocortisone and natural thyroid. Within two weeks I felt myself coming back. I then had to endure a long withdrawal period from Benzodiazepines and SSRIs.
During my research I discovered Infra Red saunas and used one to release the drugs from my fat cells. I am sure I could taste the drugs in my sweat and I also had many anxiety rushes as the drugs were released into my bloodstream. It was one hell of a journey but I did it, and still today in 2021 I am proud of myself.
Into the Light
Following this life changing and affirming episode in my life, which although it was hard, it was the making of me and I don’t look back at it as a bad thing…it shaped me. I now ask prospective clients on a scale of 1 – 10 how much they want results and try to establish their commitment levels. I choose not to work with clients who don’t gift themselves with the power of commitment and then complain that this is too hard and they can’t do it. Working with clients who are not committed results in both parties being disappointed. In order to progress with anything in life you have to overload and take yourself out of your comfort zone. Doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the definition of madness!
Hello Hippocrates
During my research on rebuilding my mind and body, I discovered Brian Clement. I attended a lecture in London given by Brian. From that day forward I knew this was the lifestyle I wanted to live and it was the answer I had been looking for. I watched BC on YouTube, read his books and totally immersed myself in the Hippocrates lifestyle as much as finances and time would allow.
In 2019 my Mum unfortunately was given a diagnosis of Stage 4 Ovarian cancer and I knew I had some tools to help her. During a conversation with a family member while I outlined what we could do…he said to me ‘Why are you not teaching this? This was the light bulb moment and I looked at the website and by chance you had a special offer price for the online course. I signed up in April 2020. I feel like I had come home and when Brian said ‘Welcome to the Hippocrates family’ I had a lump in my throat. I am now living the HW lifestyle and feel powerful and resilient that in my 60th year I have no worries about all those accepted ailments of decrepitude. I am much more concerned about my cellular and metabolic age than my chronological age. I have a saying….Aging is a disease not a destination.
Doing it!
Living the HW lifestyle has impacted my life in so many positive ways and it is a journey of learning and discovery. I won’t say it is an easy transition but the way I feel on a daily basis keeps me going. You need to be determined and organised and say goodbye to old habits whilst making new ones. My life, especially in the morning, is run with military precision.
I was born above my Grandmothers sweet shop so I have a sweet tooth. I have never had an appetite for candy bars but cutting back on fruit has been hard. I now have low sugar fruits such as apples and berries and have developed a satisfying desert with frozen courgettes and parsnips which hits the sweet spot. I also have an ongoing battle with giving up caffeine. I only have one cup of English breakfast tea in the morning with oat mylk and stevia but swopping this out with an unbleached water decaffeinated tea is hard. It is amazing how just cutting out one cup of caffeinated beverage can make you feel. I felt tired and had quite a low mood. I have also used a water distiller for many years and I agree with Brian when he says that this is cheapest way to get pure water but it does have acquired taste so I add peppermint or hibiscus flowers. I have never been a big drinker but I now have no alcohol at all. My friends and family are now used to this. When you give up alcohol it seems others have more of a problem with it than you do as it is such a socially acceptable drug.
I grow micro greens on quite a large scale in my kitchen along with sprouts and Wheatgrass. I do the Wheatgrass dance every morning. I don’t think I will ever like it. My dogs are also raw and they have micro greens, algae and sea vegetables in their food too. Following the instructions in the gardening module I now have three raised beds which provide me with regular greens for my juices and salads. Something that Victor Kulvinskas said in a lecture sticks in my mind…that supermarket greens are just a plate of old vegetables. I would say that around 75% of my plate is made up of raw living food and I vary on a daily basis from 80% to 100% raw.
Following Brian’s advice and after reading the book Supplements Exposed, I supplement with systemic and digestive enzymes, chlorella, spirulina and E3 live. I take Premier Magnesium and Acerola powder to replace electrolytes lost whilst sweating in my infra red sauna. Any other supplements that I may introduce will now always be food state. Every day I try to rebound and practice yoga with breathing exercises. Before I sauna every morning I dry skin brush and whilst in the sauna I use a strigal to clean my skin. I also like to do the thymus thump, stimulate the lymph sites under my arms and gently tap and massage my adrenal area. When the gyms reopen here in the UK after lock down I will begin my weight training 5 days a week. I am fortunate to live in the middle of a park so the permits I walk around the park barefoot. I also have a monthly colonic irrigation followed with a wheatgrass and probiotic implant.
I like to work with my circadian rhythm as much as possible retiring early to rise early. I love going to bed and I look forward to the new day with childish excitement. Life now feels full of possibilities. This lifestyle has given me clarity and a feeling of satisfaction that I have never had before. Yoga has helped me develop spiritually and being a vegan has increased my compassion, but also my sadness about the cruelty inflicted on animals just to fill our bellies. I practice fasting and stop eating around 8pm and don’t eat until maybe 12 or 2pm the next day. Not having breakfast is now easy for me and I don’t miss it. I find that it is better to exercise fasted as my energy levels are higher and my mind is sharper. But more importantly my visceral fat has dropped so I am no longer skinny fat. My sclera in my eyes is bright white and I am sure that the colour of my eyes is lighter by a shade or two. My hair and nails are both strong and my skin glows. I look and feel younger than my 60 years but maybe this is how 60 is meant to be? There is no written rule that says the later years of your life should be a slow decline into illness, waiting for the day when people you love have to wheel you about. It never ceases to amaze me how people write themselves off by phrases such as…..well at my age…or I am too old to do that….live your life…give your mind and body the right fuel and enjoy!
Who is this strange woman?
My family, who are all meat eaters and some are smokers unfortunately, think I am a little odd. My younger sister thinks I am a freak as I often break my fast with an avocado salad. I have had an ongoing battle trying to help my Mum with her Cancer but I keep hitting a brick wall. She still continues to eat the standard meat and two vegetables which are standard fare here in the UK. I attended all the consults at the Cancer Hospital with her, and witnessed a nurse delivering my Mum’s consultant his lunch which consisted of a can of diet Coke and a packet of potato chips! They suggested she see a Dietician, she refused but they insisted. Whilst waiting outside, I said to Mum I bet this lady is overweight, and my prediction was right. They prescribed build up drinks and the second ingredient was sugar. I took them home tipped them down the sink and replaced them with freshly made nut mylks everyday without my Mums knowledge. She said ‘these drinks are quite nice…try one! Unfortunately my family think the Doctors are gods and that what they say is gospel and there is the only way to deal with this diagnosis. I have resigned myself to the fact that there is little to nothing that I can do and we have to watch our Mum go through Chemo and as time goes on the cancer will win and we will lose her. This is why we have to spread the word about the HW lifestyle.
Little did I know!
I thought that after 30 years in the industry I had an excellent knowledge base. How wrong I was. With the HW lifestyle you learn every day, from simple to complex regimes and treatments to improve your health and increase longevity. The power of food never fails to amaze me. My beliefs or ‘truths’ as I prefer to call them have strengthened and it’s wonderful to know that you are doing the best for yourself and ultimately the planet.
The Future
At the start of the programme I disregarded training as a Mentor and to be honest I didn’t really understand what it meant. But working through the modules, especially those covering climate change, I realised that mentoring is more than changing just one persons way of life…it’s like a ripple effect. Humans are destroying the planet and every one of us has a part to play. I actually think that the planet will survive but nature is trying to rid itself of its parasites…us. Changing to a plant based diet may be too hard for some but just the little things such as using recycled toilet paper and using non toxic cleaning products may be a start. It’s a mentor’s job to guide and assist the mentee to embrace change. I could incorporate my knowledge as a Raw Chef and fitness professional whilst coaching and mentoring the HW lifestyle.
Summary & Findings
I am aware that I can become a little too preachy when I start talking about my passion, so I have to learn to listen rather than just deliver a sermon. I have a lot of knowledge and experience to share and I am committed to myself and looking forward to my ongoing transformation.
Thank you Hippocrates!

I was raw for about one year before finding Hippocrates, and the Hippocrates Online Program shined like a beacon of light showing me this is what I needed to be successful in this lifestyle. This program supplied me with the education and resources to live this path. My spiritual, mental, and physical transformation all have common ground with what I put in my body. Taking care of the body supports the mind to allow the consciousness to go through periods of evolution. In the midst of going through these changes, I would often sift through what I thought I knew to question what I believed. The program gave me information, testimonials, and years’ worth of clinical data in order for me to build a solid foundation.
A great gift that entered my life recently is that my parents have changed their lifestyle habits. Not only with food but many aspects of their life. When your family starts to change as well, that’s when you know you have personally changed. For most people, our family is the closest network of people we are around, and our families are often the ones to create the most resistance to our path of change. We often love our family so much that we find ourselves pushing our lifestyle onto them because we want them to change for the better. I learned this lesson at the beginning of my raw food journey, and the best decision I made was to let go. Slowly, I started focusing on myself, and one day, my family just changed and started seeking health! My family juices every day, drinks distilled water, and is letting go of outdated nutritional beliefs. My family’s transformation is a gift that keeps on giving.
This Program did not really change my beliefs about food since I was already raw, juicing, fasting, and applying supplementation. However, this program refined what I knew and gave me a clear concise path to follow. I did not feel like a lone wolf anymore, and I knew I wasn’t going to have to continue fighting the uphill battle to find reliable information. The program showed me holes in my diet and cleaned up my lifestyle. Once I fine-tuned everything, I could then really dial in my life and allow my body to heal.
I have taken life-changing steps to make this lifestyle fully mine, and I have been blessed with a partner who has been with me every single step of the way. When I decided to go raw, I redesigned my entire kitchen to make my life flow the way I wanted it. I immediately invested in the tools I needed such as a Vitamix, dehydrator, juicer, and I started a sprout operation. I went a year and a half one hundred percent raw. I incorporated daily and intermittent fasting. I did a 76-day juice fast, and my partner did 112 days and she was able to heal some digestive issues that the medical system could not figure out. We definitely had the internal/emotional ups and downs that arise when you start to break old patterns, but these were some of the greatest lessons we have learned. One of the most profound changes we made to our life, and this is something in which I mentor many of my clients, is we made our own transformation the number one priority in our life. This means if someone or something wasn’t good for us, we phased it out of our life without feelings of guilt or shame.
If I do not look after my health, I will not find the greatest potential within me. Period. In essence, maintaining health has consequences that last much longer than the blink-of-an-eye of time I have in this human experience. This life is a chance for me to evolve, grow, and become who I truly am—and in becoming my truth, I have the ability to embody light for others. It is a great responsibility to become aware of your deeper truths because turning away is no longer an option. Awareness is truly the greatest responsibility.
The western medical system falls vastly short when it comes to overall health and wellness and keeping people healthy. I do not completely discredit western medicine because our emergency medical system with all its incredible technology that saves thousands of lives, is truly amazing.
However, the western model keeps you in the system if you do not understand how it works, and it will make you dependent on forces outside of yourself. This is the most dangerous part of it. The truth and power that lies within every single human being is so infinite and vast our finite minds cannot comprehend, so therefore taking care of the physical vessel allows us to keep the channels open to a consciousness that is able to transform. The medical system clamps and shuts down these channels which, in return, damages the human being on many levels.
One step my partner and I have taken to contribute to the health of the planet besides the way we eat and live, is we have dedicated both our lives to helping humanity. I started a career in coaching and mentoring, providing space for people to go through their evolution to higher consciousness. In the states of higher consciousness, a person naturally and organically starts to feel the call of becoming one with the planet, animals, and every single human being. I have allowed myself to become transparent and vulnerable which has brought me humbly close to feeling the sensitivity of every living thing on this planet. We no longer kill flies; we catch them in a net and free them outside. I do not trim plants that do not need to be trimmed. I lost the desire to pick flowers to allow their beauty to continue serving life. I now enjoy the observation of being alive and one with life, instead of feeling separate.
Communication is one of the most profound ways to move energy in the body, and life taught me this lesson in great detail. Before I went through my transformation, I lived a life filled with lies and deceit. The lies and deceit were a way for my deep-seated pain to be hidden, and I continued to self-destruct and lose the closest people in my life. I lost communication with my Spirit, myself, and mother earth. I went through a period of almost two years where I came clean and told the truth to everyone I was lying to. So much sickness left my body. There was even a time where for two days I felt like I was dying because the lies that were leaving my body were so deep, and the confessions were to the closest person in my life: my partner. Things we hold inside create dis-ease to the mind, body, and Spirit. The lessons I have learned showed me to live as if my life was displayed on a billboard for the world to see. I have nothing to hide, my dirty laundry has been cleaned and folded, and I am an open book.
I make it a daily practice to look at and dissect my daily life. My yoga practice has been part of the foundation of discovering who I am. I usually exercise 6 days per week. I know how important exercise is but I am not going to lie, sometimes I have to really push myself into movement. My exercise routine consists of a very strict, physical Ashtanga yoga practice. It takes 1.5 hours to complete my full routine, and I do my full routine 4 to 5 times per week. The other days I focus on getting in at least a half hour. Yoga has been one of the best teachers and the relationship I have with it is sincere and growing. Yoga will be a lifelong guide that I will nurture and be thankful for because it continues to open me up to new things.
I have been healing myself from some very deep injuries that occurred in my body from the chaos I put it through during my time in the military and the years I spent in combat sports. There was a time I thought I would be walking with a cane for the rest of my life, and picking up a glass of water off the floor was something I dreaded. When I exercise, it is to bring wellness to my body. I do what my body wants and what feels good. Falling back on my yoga always seems to allow my body to get the strength, endurance, and openness that is needed to allow healing to occur.
Above all else, the practice of slowing down and syncing with Spirit has become a huge point of awareness in my life. When we slow down and allow life to show us what wants to happen, and how it will happen, so much energy can be saved. In this space, I become efficient and the decisions I make are in alignment, and I therefore operate in a much clearer way of being.
As a mentor, I must live authentically what I am offering. I am careful where I put my time and energy because I want to be a part of something authentic. If health does not become a focus for most people, they have the potential to live a life filled with pain and suffering. I will continue to be a part of organizations that align with my values to maximize my efforts as a mentor. In the meantime, I will grow my own practice and continue to visualize myself in front of millions of people extending help any way I can.
One of the best things I can say about being a mentor and coach is that it keeps me always striving to see myself. I know that a candle’s light can only shine as the size of its flame. I know that I can only share my experience and wisdom. I have always sought out the best, real, and genuine experts in all that I have been seeking. I want the real deal in all that I do, and not regurgitated information. I do not want to mentor and coach a person from a false persona. I want to offer my life as proof—that transformation is possible even when it seems impossible.
A simple practice I have found to help me in my pursuit of better health, lifestyle, and choices is to always do the best I can in the circumstance I am in. The Hippocrates lifestyle is no doubt the tip of the spear when it comes to how to live well, but why not go for it with everything we have in us?!

]]>The Hippocrates Lifestyle is indeed in the beginning tough to follow. I would be honest in this but not impossible. It taught me the most important thing that whatever you are putting in your mouth, be aware of it. Our body and our health is very costly. Human body is born to eat uncooked food.
When human life started on earth what did they consume as food? Definitely plant food. Our body can live healthily if we take a plant based diet. I am totally convinced by the Hippocrates Lifestyle and it has made a huge impact in my life also. I have started doing 16 hour fasting which is very important. I feel my body has become very light otherwise I would feel bloated very frequently. My acidity problem has been totally solved. I have stopped eating junk food as I used to, and once a week I have started eating sprouts and wheatgrass juice. I have stopped taking dairy products and I am totally a vegan now. Exercise is also part of my routine work. I have tried a few of the recipes which were very tasty and healthy. Growing sprouts is an art I would say which HW teaches perfectly. Sprouted foods are the most nutritious dense food on land, and therefore the best food for you all is land-based food. We should increase the amount of raw and living food into our diet to a minimum of 80% and to carefully select the remainder of the foods we eat. We should build the habit of eating sprouts at least 50% of each meal. I have learnt a lot; what to eat, when to eat, what not to eat, how to eat etc..
To be healthy it does not mean only physical health but mental health too. Now a days most of the people are stressed. Stress plays a most important role in the case of mental health. I believe that guided meditation helps in relieving stress. The word HOPE plays a vital role. Hormones, oxygen, phytochemicals, phytonutrients and enzymes are the four elements needed for optimum health. The HW lifestyle and diet can keep your hormones in balance. Oxygen can be found in raw living food .Cooked food is devoid of oxygen. Therefore we should try eat non cooked plant based diet.
After food water plays a major part in our health. The earth’s ¾ part is water. Our body is 70 % water .Many chronic diseases take place as most of the people are dehydrated. But sadly most of the water is contaminated and we should very wisely choose our water purifying methods. I came to know in the course about EZ (exclusion zone) water, which is negatively charged and creates an electrical charge, even within our cells, that is integral for body function. Alkaline substances are negatively charged and acidic substances are positively charged. The more negatively charged we are, the better our health. The HW diet says that we should drink 4 oz. of wheatgrass daily which is optimal and life giving. By fasting on green juice 1 day a week or 52 days a year and doing this over a 7 year period, one will fast for a total of 364 days. Every 7 years cells replace themselves! It’s great if we can follow this. Fasting and detoxification makes our body balanced.
I never believed in taking medical supplements. As all are synthetic and chemical based. Historically, supplements were mostly made from whole foods but over time more and more supplements have synthetic ingredients to the point where now about 90% are synthetic. Our mineral level in the body comes from the food we consume and that is totally dependent on the minerals present in the soil. But it is ironic today that most soils contain inadequate mineral levels due to soil erosion and poor farming practices. There comes the organic food. Before taking the course I never thought of organic food. But as in India due to the number of population we cannot even believe that as we don’t know is it purely organic or not. Therefore it’s better to grow our own food if possible or sprouts is the easiest thing to grow. In the course I learnt about natural supplements. Probiotics, B12, blue green algae superfoods like Spirulina, E3 live and Chlorella are one of the best sources of many macro and micronutrients on this earth. I am going to buy this from the HW store after this pandemic situation.
Here the medical doctors prescribe supplements based on fish oil. But plant based Omega 3’s like flax, chia and hemp seed are far superior to fish oils which are both rancid and loaded with heavy metals .I have started taking chia and flax seeds now. Thanks to HW. Learnt about the glutathione low levels in the body can actually cause inflammation and disease and glutathione supplementation should be considered as a key player in building immunity.
It was good to know about detoxification and elimination . The GI tract refers to 5 r’s to the proper process of healing the GI tract: remove, replace, repair, repopulate and rebalance. I learnt that wheatgrass juice can be used for detoxifying the colon. It was very astonishing for me but now I feel great. I also went to the sauna but it was not infrared but was relaxing. I also learnt that seaweed has a high concentration of minerals from seawater itself and should be looked at as a basic food for all life. Each of us is carrying the seawater heritage inside our bodies from our tears to our blood, lymph and all the fluids in our body. Therefore we should try taking these supplements for a healthy body.
I would be very honest in accepting that from the HW course my thinking has changed and now I am true believer of “Make your own food and grow your own food”. I used to buy very rare packed foods when travelling but now totally stopped and have started buying organic vegetables and seeds. When I am purchasing anything I always see the ingredients it has within. I have stopped giving my son cornflakes. My son who is 15 years old does not take any kind of dairy products and my husband is religiously following intermittent fasting. We all have become a vegan family and this is an achievement for us as we are Indians. I feel this is the major impact after doing the HW course.
Our mother earth needs contribution from all of us to sustain .You see charity begins at home. We all should ensure that our children should have good eating habits and they all eat plant based and vegan food. This will help in decreasing the amount of consumption of meat and dairy products. Animal slaughtering is a major concern. Most of the land in the world is used in animal food products making in comparison to plant based food. Animal agriculture uses so much fresh water that it is expected within the next 14 years to be a major contributor to massive shortages of fresh water globally. We should make minimum waste and nil use of plastic products. Our oceans are crying with the plastics. Our body knows the vibration of what we’re eating as we are vibratory beings. Metaphysical toxins are present when eating slaughtered animals. Concentrated vibrations of terror, grief, and desperation are passed along and humans, in turn, act out these vibrations.
We should stop burning forests so that the animal kingdom is safe and our ecosystem is healthy. Water contamination should be stopped with immediate effect. For global health we should create an environment where good health does not only mean bodily but mentally and spiritually. Since childhood I have made my son do meditation with me and it really helps in eternal peace. We all should follow the Ahimsa what Gandhi taught us. We need to make a conscious effort to look ahead at what might grow from our current actions. If possible, if a right coach is there in our life it becomes easy to follow.
The most effective authentic and honest communication is your behaviour of listening and coaching. Reflect active listening and understanding of client’s perspective. To be honest and love your work and love your client. For this we have to be in love with ourselves first and then the person to whom we are coaching. Asking powerful questions and avoiding judgements. Every person is special in its own way. The most important thing is to clear ourselves from within and make ourselves pure before coaching others. We should learn acceptance. Accepting anger, denial, confusion, depression and crisis. We should stop blaming others and ourselves. Learn from our mistakes and there should be no space for any kind of guilt. It makes us feel low. This will make us more polished and increase our confidence.
The best way to live your life is to be honest with yourself as we can lie to others but not to ourselves. The practice of a Daily Habit tracker is required. A proper log should be maintained. The key to best health is regular exercise daily. It should include yoga and meditation. I regularly follow mental cleaning before sleep and forgive. With this regularity my morning is always fresh and positively charged. I always recommend a sense of gratitude should be the first thing once you get up in the morning followed by your regular activities. We should value all our relationships. Upkeep honour and respect others feelings and emotions. Some things in our life can be normal for us but abnormal for others. It depends on the person’s perseverance. Abstract values such as kindness, freedom or mindfulness plays an important role in life. We should feel safe wherever we are. A sense of security gives us the feeling of completeness.
HW made my love towards raw and living food and I am trying my level best to follow it. Morning sprouts have become my daily routine. Nuts and almond milk helps me to feel full and good.
Currently I am exercising 4 days a week for a full 30 mins in which I become breathless and sweat a lot. I am doing Yoga asanas of Swami Ramdev who is very famous in India. Regular meditation has been a part of my life for 8 years. Stretching is a part of my daily activity.
My plans for a mentor are as follow:
I have been the Co-founder of an NGO, Global cancer Trust since 2010. It aims to dissuade students and youth from tobacco consumption of any form through regular events and seminars in their schools, colleges and organizations. I have already done 250 awareness sessions and have touched lots of lives. I have done seminars in the army of India and have done Breast self examination coaching for women and the police. On 5th December 2020, I am doing a coaching and female breast cancer awareness session for 200 police women and explaining to them the importance of a plant based diet. Recently I conducted a session for Leukaemia children and their parents. It’s a chain process. I give them some brochures and tell each one of them to share at least 10 people and those again will share further 10 more. This way we can reach the masses. We also aim to spread the message of a tobacco free society and a healthy lifestyle approach by conducting similar awareness activities.
It was great doing the HW course. I learned a lot about food, lifestyle, exercise, mentoring, and coaching. All life comes from the sun. We all are energetic. There is a law of attraction. I believe it religiously. What you think you become. Thanks to Brian, Anna Maria, Tony ,Jennifer, all of the teachers and professors all over the world.

]]>The post Jens Albrecht Hippocrates Online Program appeared first on Hippocrates Wellness.
]]>I took the online program, because I am a health practitioner, who is already working with lifestyle changes with his patients for some years. I as well am trying to dive deeper into the topic personally, as I am usually only advising my patients to do things that I have tried myself and that I have experience and trust in.
So my true belief is that changing the way you eat and live is the best key to health, as well as the treatment with the least cost and the most positive side effects. So why not do it then?
Impact on my life:
Physically– when I am following a vegan diet to around 70% raw, my left knee has ceased to hurt. Since I changed my lifestyle 4 years ago, I don’t have pain anymore after playing basketball, squash or other sports. My endurance is like that of some 20 year old guys and usually I don’t get hurt doing sports. As I am 46 years old I can clearly see the difference to people my age and under.
Family- as my family follows some parts of my protocols, like green juice, wheatgrass juice and a lot of raw veggies, my kids and wife are usually healthy, they know they can avoid doctor checkups, but this was like this already before, as I am treating all conditions myself.
Sometimes people ask what I am feeding my oldest son, that he is so fast and good at sports, when I tell them, they stop asking..
Mentally, spiritually, emotionally- I can not feel a great difference yet, but I feel a greater need to start meditating.
Beliefs according to food, that have changed-
The costs of an unhealthy lifestyle- because of my profession I am aware of the cost of a poor lifestyle, for that reason I founded my first food coop in Germany in order to be able to buy organic produce in my early twenties, so for more than 20 years I bought food and household articles in organic quality, although for much of this time I didn’t have much money, as well after I founded a family, but going organic always was one of the things I didn’t want to stop and I had arguments about it with my wife, when money was short!
The thing, that I always thought is unjust was, that although I destroy earth less, I also have to suffer from climate change, plastic waste, chemicals all over etc. but nevertheless it’s worth making a difference.
Steps to incorporate healthy change-
Risks and costs to my health, my relatives and the healthcare system without the program-
I have a personal sensor, that indicates, when I am not being strict with my diet, my left knee. It starts to hurt, which gives me problems playing sports or doing more advanced yoga. I also feel, when I am drinking alcohol, even one beer makes me feel less well the next day. Altogether I have seen all these sick patients in my practice in Germany, seeing many doctors and no big change in sight. That’s why I decided I wanted to be healthy, without spending time in nursing homes and being able to live and enjoy my life until my end.
Besides, I have an appointment with my son, to go running together, when he is 100 years old and I will be 134 then.
The negative impact of all these people on medicines, that are sick though, on the healthcare system is incredibly high.
And the outcome of poor lifestyle I can see with my mother being overweight and unable even to cycle in flat areas, my mother in law having arthritis, my father having allergies and vitiligo and my father in law as an ex-drinker and smoker having survived 2 cancers already. And all of them are not severe cases yet! They still live their lives on their own, being happy.
But they could be in a much better shape, trying to do more of the things we discuss together. Nevertheless my personal example and help to them has also changed their lives a lot and saved their overall health many times.
If I imagine how cheap treatments in my practice are, compared to normal medicine, then it’s a miracle, why doesn’t society doesn’t ask for more? Instead they consider my profession witches or charlatans in Germany, at least in the mass media, while many people only find help though alternative medicine.
My steps to contribute to planetary health-
I need to be 100% raw vegan and then I can influence more people to do the same.
I can buy more organic clothes and still use less resources traveling. Maximize self-grown food from within the house would help a lot.
And to change my own state of mind to a more peaceful and forgiving person would also help to make the world a better place.
On the other hand I am vegan for 5 years, I buy organic for 25 years, I try to buy organic and used clothes and other things for everyday life. I use my bike a lot. I feel that I have done much more than many other people I know, to save the basis for humans on this earth.
But more is possible.
Authentic and honest communication-
I always try to be honest with my clients, friends and family. That includes to admit, when I don’t know and be clear about the things we are discussing.
To be even more honest I think one has to be in peace with himself and clear for him/ herself, where to go, how to live etc.
To find more clarity for myself would help me to even communicate better and more authentic.
Best practices to change my life so far-
My daily exercise-
Being a mentor-
As a healthcare practitioner all the new knowledge is being implemented with my new clients always. Especially working in Laos with many things I have learned previously like doing infusions, having access to laboratories and certain kinds of alternative medicines not at hand, the lifestyle change is one thing that can be done.
I think about taking the coaching course as well and hopefully going once to Florida to have the full feeling of how it can be, and to see the impact on other people changing their lifestyle.
I would like to change my working perspective much more to coaching people by changing their behavior than to “make” them healthy again, which often doesn’t work anyway, which frustrated me already in my practice. It’s probably one of the reasons to take this course, to gather knowledge and experience to change my work as well.
On the way I mentor everybody that I meet that are interested in the topic, or in the case of my family, they become integrated more or less to the changes as I am buying and preparing all food anyway! And then we talk about it, try new things, see the impact and learn from it.

Never in the history of recorded medicine have we had a microbe that lingered along and received the distinguished placement as the first perpetual virus. At worst, in the past, we have seen that when people contract the common cold or flu or, even more sinister, E.coli, etc., when they recover, they may endure a short time where they do not feel as perky or strong as they did previously. Scientists, physicians, and practices worldwide are now dealing with a dilemma they did not learn about in school and have not experienced. LONG COVID, as the allopathic community calls it, has tainted millions of people’s lives who are suffering long after they took the experimental vaccine or contracted the 19-microbe. Of course, there is debate and controversy surrounding the question, “Where did it come from?,” but we will not focus on that. Our real question is, “Why is this disturbing and destroying the lives of many?”
Here on the Hippocrates Wellness campus, we, like every other group of healthcare professionals, work with people daily who tell us about symptoms that linger and linger without any viable assistance from conventional means. One institute that takes this disastrous situation seriously is a multi-disciplinarian group of doctors at UCLA. Dr. Meghan Agarwal, a cardiologist, employs the word POTS to describe the vast symptomatology that many of these sufferers express. The brain is most often affected since people describe their inability to think clearly and concisely. This, I would say, is the most common complaint. Many of you reading this, who suffered the virus, talk about OLFACTORY problems. You lost your ability to smell.
Scientists finally realized why this occurred since this patented virus attacks the nervous system’s neurons and derogate the lining of tissue that registers and perceives fragrance. Weakened immune systems are the 2nd obvious malady that may be expressed by having more health problems via colds or even formidable diseases. When checked, we are now clear that the cerebrospinal fluid includes exceptionally high amounts of proteins associated with inflammation. This means that your army of immune cells is working in the area of the nervous system rather than fighting microbes and mutagens that require immune cell adversaries. We have seen many of our alumni who have been well for years until the virus and/or its supposed antidotes presented itself. Another symptom that we observe is lingering virus; this is where people seem to have never gotten over the initial contamination. What has been discovered is this covid strain observed through neuropsychiatric symptoms appears in small packages in the brain and opens themselves as long as three months after the initial infection. This means the bug persists in the central nervous system for a long time. Another study found genetic material from the virus in patients’ brains almost 8 months after experiencing their first symptoms. A more hidden and technical observation has been a macrophage attack. This is from autopsies of people who have reportedly died from the virus. Macrophage precursor cells and red blood cells work within the cellular lining to protect healthy brain neurons and astrocytes. When the virus attacks the lining, it rips open the walls that buffer the neurons and astrocytes, which creates a kill-off of neurons inflaming the brain.
All of this is strange, unexpected, and disheartening. I think it is time that we go back and ask the institutions that patented this virus what their objective was and, more importantly, what they can do to create viable remedies for those suffering from their manufactured creation. We must understand that you cannot patent a natural virus. Dr. Martin, the CEO and Leader of ACAM, clearly announced to the world that there are organizations, governments, and institutions over the last quarter of a century that have manifested a microbe that would not exist with nature and certainly not come from doing a perverted thing like eating a bat. Long covid should give each of us time to reflect on what humanity has just been put through over the last few years, asking the questions, how, why, and more importantly, who? If you are suffering from any symptoms described, here at Hippocrates, we have methods and practices that have proven effective in addressing this universal disorder. If you want to once and for all leave this nightmare behind, it would be wise to fully engage and embrace this lifestyle combined with nutrient and energy medicine treatments.
