I was very blessed at this time to fall in love with my dear friend Brian. Despite my illness, he believed in me and my capacity to heal. He was moving from Washington D.C. to Florida, and encouraged me to come along. Once in Florida, I discovered Hippocrates. By the time I arrived, I was so weak I couldn’t even walk to the end of my block.
It has been one year since my stay at Hippocrates, and my life couldn’t be more wonderful. I now walk or bike 5 days a week, and lift weights 3 times a week. The best news of all is that Brian and I were married in June, and I felt so well at our wedding that I was able to dance the night away! The greatest gift I receive d from Hippocrates was the realization and empowerment that I am completely responsible for my own life and well being.
