Coretta Scott King made many trips to Palm Beach County including the Christmas before her death on Jan 30 2006 at age 78.
She was struggling with ovarian cancer and needed relaxation, so she gathered her four children for a long stay at the Hippocrates Wellness in West Palm Beach.
“She was the same strong, wonderful lady that I always knew, held herself beautifully as she always did,” the institute’s director, Brian Clement, told the Palm Beach Post then.
