My search for all relevant information about survival started, interestingly enough, with a little pamphlet I still keep on my desk. My now deceased father sent it across the country to me; I have no idea where he got it. The title: Stale Food vs. Fresh Food. The now deceased author, Robert S. Ford of Pascagoula, Mississippi, explained that choked arteries and related problems are caused by stale food, and how eating anything but fresh food was damaging to the arteries and more. In one section of the booklet he began by saying that the safest cooking method was NO COOKING! This publication was loaded with a lot of good and now time-tested guidelines.

I knew there had to be a lot of crucial nutrition and survival information out there, even though it was not easy to find. I joined as many professional medical groups as I could. Many disseminated nutritional information and cures for medical problems. I became a member of The Orthomolecular Medical Society, The American Academy of Medical Preventics, and The International Academy of Preventive Medicine along with other professional groups.

I traveled to many nutritional medicine conferences that gave me hints and ideas, many of which I adopted. My level of wellness and energy seemed just fine; in fact it was higher than most folks so I thought I had reached nirvana!

I was so inspired that I founded a non-profit group called Ultra Nutrition Institute, and spent a lot of money printing newsletters with the aim of getting the nutritional word out. Back in the seventies and eighties, however, there was a very definite silence as very few wanted to hear any of this “crazy stuff.” We are so fortunate now that more people are open to what Hippocrates teaches.

After all my vigorous chasing of nutritional and energy medicine, regularly consuming large handfuls of theoretically high-quality nutrients, minerals, and thinking I was on top of the game, I had an opportunity to eat a gourmet raw and organic meal. That was January 10, 2000, a landmark date for me.

Aris LaTham was the raw food chef/ teacher who served this wildly delicious and life giving cuisine. On the spot, right in that health food restaurant, I committed to a raw and organic lifestyle and started immediately, cold turkey. The most challenging issue was to stay organic. Right away, as I flipped to a living food lifestyle, it became a priority for me to travel just one hour north of my home to the Hippocrates Wellness. I had heard about it forever, but never before had the motivation to go there. What a revelation that was!

It became obvious that the real and powerful effects of following the Hippocrates Lifestyle exceeded by far all the vitamins and supplements money can buy. Raw, nutrient-rich-living food turns out to be far more potent than all else put together. As I continued to see what Hippocrates did for people, a deep and abiding respect and admiration moved me to make video programs for them, including a series of lectures and a promotional DVD (with MANY testimonials). There are plentiful, amazing miracle stories and filming them is always simple, as the folks are so thankful for the good that has happened to them.

Now, approaching my sixth year as a living foodist and closing in on 68 years on the planet, the real and unexpected benefits of raw and organic are starting to have a giant effect. It is becoming clear to me that my entire body and systems are years or perhaps decades younger. The only thing I have done to bring about these improvements is to consume an organic and raw diet.

I did an important complete cancer blood profile some months ago and the testing doctor pulled my 1979 results. All numbers were LOWER, and this is a quarter of a century later! He said everybody gets cancer. I think not!

Yes, of course there are countless stories of seriously challenged individuals regaining life. My message right now is clear: do all this BEFORE you have a wake up call! You will be so pleased you did.

A dozen years ago, I formed Vision Earth Society with a mission of making wildlife and environmental films. Five years ago LIVING FOOD FILMS was added to the Vision Earth projects. It is my mission, in conjunction with Hippocrates, to produce some very important documentary films that showcase raw and living food research and studies. To fulfill our dream, we need bright filmmaker-types who understand and believe in the living foods lifestyle. Please contact me at [email protected] .

In the meantime, I am sticking to my beliefs about raw food…for the rest of my healthy life!
