Arthritis Malnutrition
31 May 2012Tony’s physician prescribed medication but sub-effects of the prescribed medication might significantly-negate its benefits. The rheumatologist prescribed steroids-the conventional course of treatment- but, faced with the prospect of weight-gain, kidney and liver dysfunction, etc. I decided to consider other options.”
Tony’s body eventually succumbed and he completely lost his ability to walk without assistance. He had to rely on others to accomplish even the most routine task. One can only imagine the effect that this illness had on this previously vibrant man.
As Tony closed the proverbial door to pharmaceutical drugs, he sought a natural approach to healing his body. His research led him to check into Hippocrates for three weeks, even though it was not covered by this insurance. “After two weeks of treatment, I was able to walk without a cane. My recovery was so phenomenal that both staff-members and other guests were amazed and, in some cases, moved to tears when they recalled how I had been when I arrived,” he recalls in amazement, as if it happened yesterday.
Shortly after Tony returned to his job at the hotel, he was approached by a former colleague who asked him to join the team of a new holistic center being opened in New York City. “The offer immediately resonated with me, and I jumped at the opportunity. Joining the team would provide further healing and would give me an opportunity to help others.”
Tony has come a long way since June 2001, when he joined the Olive Leaf Wholeness Center. Since then, he has embarked on a new journey by embracing holistic health. As a result of the Hippocrates miracle, he is now a trained reflexologist as well as colon hydro therapist. And he’s not done yet. He is also currently pursuing a degree in Massage Therapy at the Swedish Institute in New York City. He is putting his healing and belief to work for others as well as for himself.
